What is the Drunkorexia?

Origin

Drunkorexia comes from the english word"drunk" (drinking or drink) and is defined as a disorder in which people stop eating in order to compensate for the calories provided by the alcohol, so it essentially becomes the only source of calories with underlying these people.
Besides the abuse of alcoholic beverages, Drunkorexia is combined with other harmful behaviors such as making "binges and then induces vomiting. Hence it is claimed that the Drunkorexia is a strange mixture between anorexia, bulimia and alcohol.
It is a step to alcoholism and malnutrition and protein.
In the last years has begun to speak on this issue that mainly affects younger.

Causes

Like as anorexia and bulimia, people with drunkorexia are prone to obsessive behaviors respect to its weight. This condition stems from strong emotional deprivation and certain psychological disorders. If not treated timely, there are several risks.

Effects

The consequences of drunkorexia are catastrophics, as well as generating of physical disorders, causes irreparable mental disorders.
The most dangerous effects are: the deterioration of neurons due to alcohol, the lost of consciousness or distortion of reality, so that people have a misperception of the image and are fat when they are very thin. They can also express violent behavior or social isolation.
